Description
Clay Breaker is ideal for conditioning clay-based soils without affecting their natural pH. It helps break up even very heavy clay, making the soil easier to cultivate and work.
Clay Breaker:
- Improves drainage and helps increase soil warmth for earlier cropping.
- Will not alter the natural pH of the soil.
- Can also be used as an autumn top dressing on lawns.
The granulated formulation makes it easy to apply around the garden and it can be used throughout the year. For best results, apply during autumn after roughly digging the affected area.
Applying Clay Breaker in autumn allows winter frosts to work together with the treatment, helping improve soil structure in preparation for spring planting.
It can be incorporated into soil intended for vegetables and flowers and can also be used on lawns.

How to use
Clay Breaker can be applied at any time of year, but the best results are usually achieved when it is used during autumn after rough digging.
The combined effect of the product and winter frost helps create a better soil structure ready for spring planting.
Dig the soil over roughly and apply at a rate of 200g per square metre (approximately 6oz per square yard).
Leave the treated soil for around one month before working it again. Very heavy clay soils may benefit from a repeat application in autumn and again the following spring.
Vegetables and Flower Beds
Apply at 200g per square metre to the soil. Clay Breaker can be used in existing beds or incorporated before planting.
Lawns
For best results, apply at 200g per square metre during autumn after spiking or hollow-tining the lawn.
