How to use
Create a new lawn or fill in a bare patch
1. Rake
- Remove weeds, stones, debris and dead grass from the area.
- If overseeding an existing lawn, mow the grass short first.
- Turn the soil over to a depth of approximately 15–22cm.
- Level and firm the soil before sowing.
2. Shake
- Shake the carton before use to remix the seed.
- Apply 30g per square metre for new lawns or bare patches.
- Sow evenly in a criss-cross pattern for more even coverage.
- Gently rake the seed into the soil, then tread or roll the area to improve seed-to-soil contact.
3. Water
- Unless rain falls, water using a fine spray.
- Keep the soil moist during establishment.
- Grass can be trimmed once it reaches approximately 5–8cm high.
- Gradually lower the mower height until the grass is around 2.5cm.
- Do not remove more than one-third of the grass growth in a single cut.
- Begin feeding the lawn after around 12 weeks to help maintain healthy growth.
How to overseed an existing lawn
- Mow the lawn short and rake out dead grass, moss and debris.
- Apply a suitable lawn dressing if required.
- If conditions are dry, lightly moisten the lawn before sowing.
- Apply approximately 25g of seed per square metre.
- Lightly rake the seed into the lawn.
- Keep the soil moist for the following weeks unless sufficient rain falls.
Application by spreader
The seed can also be applied using a suitable lawn spreader. Use the appropriate spreader setting to achieve an even application.
