1. Rake

- If overseeding an existing lawn, mow the grass short first.

- Sow half in one direction and the remainder at right angles for even coverage.
- Gently rake in, then tread or roll the seed into the soil.
3. Water
- Unless it rains, water using a fine spray and keep the soil moist during establishment.
- Trim the grass when it reaches approximately 5-8cm.
- Gradually lower the cutting height towards approximately 2.5cm.
- Never remove more than one-third of the growth in one cut.
- Begin feeding the lawn after approximately 12 weeks.

Further information
Do I need to add fertiliser?
There is often sufficient residual fertility in the soil for young grass to establish. Avoid strong fertilisers and weed or moss killers for 24 weeks after sowing.
When will the shoots appear?
In ideal moist conditions, grass can begin appearing in approximately 7-10 days. Cooler or less favourable conditions may extend germination to 10-14 days or longer.
How long can grass seed be stored?
For best results, use new-season seed. When stored in cool, dry conditions, seed generally maintains good viability for around two years before germination performance gradually declines.
When is the best time to sow?
Wait until frosts have passed and soil temperatures have risen. Avoid sowing during very hot, dry or cold conditions.
Health and Safety
Always read the pack label and product instructions carefully before use.
